Cinnamon: Ancient writings reflect that using Cinnamon in the home and wearing on the edges of clothes attracts wealth and abundance; besides a flavoring in many recipes, has great medical properties. Cinnamon boosts the activity of the brain and hence acts as a good brain tonic. It helps in removing nervous tension and memory loss. Research at the Wheeling Jesuit University in the USA has proven that the scent of Cinnamon has the ability to boost brain activity. Cinnamon aids in the circulation of blood due to the presence of a blood-thinning compound in it. This blood circulation helps significantly in removing pain. Good blood circulation also ensures oxygen to the body cells leading to higher metabolic activity. You significantly reduce the chance of getting a heart attack by regularly consuming Pure CPTG doTerra Cinnamon. Cleans Gall Bladder of unfriendly germs and eliminates bacteria in Staph Infections.

Emotionally, whatever shift you want to create in your life about your health can be enhanced using this blend – it increases metabolic rates and makes people “feel Good” all over – it literally eliminates the destination cells for fat – so when you achieve your new weight you can resist the urge to replace the excess fat cells.

Sip your flavored water before, between, and after each of your healthy meals throughout the day. Slim & Sassy also makes an excellent addition to water bottles (Use glass or stainless steel containers) or hydration packs during exercise and outdoor activity. You can also drop the oil directly on your tongue or put in a gelatin capsule. Target problem areas or just help to smooth skin in applying Slim & Sassy topically. It may also be used aromatically to lift and calm mood. Apply to areas that you would like to eliminate cellulite – 1:1 with coconut oil or the doTERRA Hand and Body Lotion.

4 Minute Abs

My friend at Fitphoriadiva.com has a killer, wonderful ab workout.
I introduced it to my sister when I saw her over the Holidays.

I need this workout now, more than ever to un-do all the fun I had eating!

But I don't feel bad about it. I had a wonderful time with my family, and consistent clean eating and workouts will shed those few pounds quickly.

Aromatheraphy Play Dough

I made Play Dough the other day for the first time in a really long time.
I was helping my daughter prepare her Sunday Lesson for a bunch of cute kids, and Play Dough was a great aid to get her point across.

It wasn't long after that I read a doTerra Blog about
Play Dough and Essential Oils!

Their recipe required cooking, mine looked similar and much easier.
So here is my tried and true Play Dough Recipe with an
Essential Oil Twist!

Basic Play Dough

2 Cups Flour
2 Cups Clear or Colored HOT Water
1 Cup Salt
2 Tbsp. Oil
4 Tsp. Cream of Tartar
5 Drops Essential Oil

Mix all ingredients and let cool.
Add Essential Oils.

This can be put in Zip Lock bags and kept in the refrigerator!

Remember when Play Dough used to try to smell like the 'color' it was?

Like the purple was grape, and the red was cherry, and the yellow was lemon?

And how HORRIBLE it smelled?
What if the yellow really smelled like Lemon? and the purple like Lavender? And the blue like Peppermint?
How great would it be to give an tired child play Dough that smells like SERENITY?

The possibilities are endless!

Aromatheraphy Steam Facial

An aromatherapy steam facial is a great way to feel like you are at a luxurious spa in the comfort of your own home. With only a pot of hot water, a towel, and essential oils, you can easily create your own aromatherapy steam facial that can greatly benefit your skin and sense of well-being.
A steam facial can help work magic on your skin. The steam helps increase circulation and draws blood to the surface of your skin, giving it a nice warm, healthy glow. It also helps to deep clean your pores of any dirt and debris and helps to add moisture to your skin. Not only is it great for your skin—it is also very relaxing and therapeutic as well.
What You Need:
Large pot or kettle to heat water in
Large bowl
Towel
5 drops of dōTERRA essential oil

Editor’s note: Use a combination of essential oils that can help benefit your skin as well.
For oily/troubled skin: use Eucalyptus, Geranium, Lemongrass or Melaleuca
For dry skin: use Lavender, Geranium, or Frankincense
For normal skin: use Lavender, Geranium, Sandalwood, or Ylang Ylang

Directions:
1- Wash your face with a gentle face wash to remove any makeup, grease, or dirt.
2- Bring a pot of water to a boil (about 5 cups).
3- Once the water begins to boil, transfer it to a large bowl.

4- Add essential oils to the water.
resize 3
5- Take a large bath towel and drape it over your head and bowl. This will create a “steam tent.”  Position your face 12-18 inches away from water so the steam can go into your nose and skin.
resize 5
6- Relax and enjoy for 3-5 minutes.
7- Once done, wash face to remove any dirt from pores that may have surfaced, and use a toner, such as dōTERRA’s Pore Reducing Toner, to help further cleanse your pores.
8- Pat skin dry with a clean towel. Repeat once a week.

dōTERRA essential oils can be purchased on my web site: here

note: The steam can also be helpful if you are congested or have the flu. Use essential oils such as Eucalyptus or Breathe to help open airways and soothe discomfort.
